The 24th Conference of the Caretakers of the Environment International
Lawang, East Java. Indonesia. 4-10 July 2010
We are all generally agreed facts, that the world's global biodiversity and various culture are in thread. While local cultures that live for centuries, had shown the local wisdom of preserving, conserving and to use in sustainable ways by honouring their existence. Many cultures contain local wisdoms had shown the capability to see and maintain biodiversity.
Realizing that Indonesia moreover is one of the main source of the world's remaining biodiversity with also it's diverse cultures, this conference would be great opportunity for youngsters around the world and Indonesian ourselves to realized this fact and develop knowledge, skills, perspective and values on sustainable development.
Furthermore, by facilitating young generations to exchange concerns, ideas, strategies, action and projects in the field of sustainable development, global friendship and cooperations among people of different cultural background the sake of future's life and humanity.
